This is the week where we nail everything down, pack in extra supplies, bring in extra staff, and try to get lots of sleep before the kids get here. Energy abounds everywhere. Their singing tries to lift the roof from the gym. All of their activities: climbing wall, lake, games, worship, mountain boards, horses, water balloons, camp fires, etc. are tackled with gusto by every camper. If you are just thinking about attending camp this summer don’t think too long. This age camp fills up quickly. Plus, what ya thinkin’ about? You’ll kick yourself if you miss this week of camp.

On the serious side, this is the age when the kids are beginning to ask some very serious questions about life, God and how the two work together. This age is under so much pressure today. Their world has changed drastically. Allow them to take a week to get away from their cell phone, i-pods, web pages, and get quiet alone long enough to hear the gentle whisper from God that He loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives. This is the age where understanding God’s design starts to come together.
